Tour Plan
Your 5-day exploration of Northern Morocco begins on the first day as we pick you up from your hotel, the airport, or the port in Tangier. Known as "the bride of the north," Tangier is situated in the northwest, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Our first destination is a tour of the picturesque city, which includes visits to Hercules Cave and Cape Spartel.
Lunch is on the house, and afterwards, we venture inland to Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan and the Rif Mountains. Along the way, we'll make stops for panoramic views of the stunning landscapes. You'll spend the night at a hotel in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, you'll explore the captivating blue city of Chefchaouen, often referred to as "Achaoun," which means "horns" in Berber. This city, nestled in the northwest Rif Mountains of Morocco, is renowned for its blue and white-painted houses and streets. Take a leisurely walk through its charming ancient Medina, where you'll find numerous beautiful blue doors that add a trendy touch to your photos. You'll have some free time for lunch.
Following your city tour, you can choose to trek to the Spanish mosque, situated on elevated terrain, which offers a bird's-eye view of the entire blue city. Your day concludes back at the hotel.
After breakfast, you'll have the opportunity to explore the picturesque streets of Chefchaouen once more. Later, we head to Volubilis, where you'll discover ancient Roman ruins that have been meticulously preserved, making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site boasts exquisite mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways.
After exploring the ruins, we travel 30 kilometers to Meknes, one of Morocco's imperial cities and the Ismaili capital. Here, you'll visit the magnificent Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Following Meknes, we continue on to Fes, where you'll spend the night at a riad.
Following breakfast, we'll pick you up from your riad in Fes to embark on a guided tour of the city. Fes, the cultural and religious heart of Morocco, is also known as one of the imperial cities.
Our tour begins at the Royal Palace Gate, followed by an exploration of the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll enter the ancient Medina through the Blue Gate, known as Bab Boujloud. Once inside, you'll be guided through the Medina's significant attractions, including the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the world's oldest continually operating degree-granting university. We'll then depart from the Medina to visit the Mellah, the Jewish district. Afterward, we'll journey to a historic citadel for panoramic views over the Medina and Fes. You'll return to your riad after this enriching experience
On the final day of your 5-day Northern Morocco tour, we leave Fes after breakfast. Our journey proceeds to Rabat, one of Morocco's royal cities and its current capital, situated in the northwest. During your visit, you'll explore the city's highlights, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. After lunch, we'll continue on to Casablanca, Morocco's economic hub. Depending on your flight schedule, we may also visit the Hassan II Mosque, Morocco's largest mosque. Ultimately, we'll ensure your timely arrival at the airport, marking the end of your cultural Moroccan tour.
